On Saturday, April 8th 2000, Richard Bennett of Cambridge
Massachusetts embarked from Wood River, Illinois on an expedition
retracing the route which Lewis and Clark took in 1804-1805. As he
kayaks and hikes this route through what was once the Louisiana
Territory, Mr. Bennett will document, through photographs and
journal entries, some of the historical and ecological changes
which have taken place since Lewis and Clark first ventured
westward. This website will chronicle Mr. Bennett's journey as it
happens.
